These terms cover the ShopOS Durban pilot.

Pilot service

ShopOS is in pilot in Durban for comparing grocery options. Features, catalogues, and availability will change. Real retailer catalogues are added only with their agreement.

• Free while in pilot. No payment card is required to try the Android app.
• The app and website are provided for evaluation and feedback, not as a finished consumer product.

Your account

You must provide accurate account details (email and any phone you choose to add). Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account during the pilot.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse ShopOS. For example, do not:

• Attempt to break into accounts or systems that are not yours.
• Scrape, harvest, or resell data from the pilot.
• Use the service for anything unlawful in South Africa.

Data and privacy

Do you sell my data? No. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy page, including the POPIA line: we store only what we need to run your account and comparisons.

No warranties

The pilot is provided “as is”. Comparison results depend on connected retailers. Prices are not shown yet and are not a guarantee of what you will pay in a store.

Liability

To the extent allowed by South African law, ShopOS is not liable for losses arising from use of this pilot, including decisions you make based on comparison output during the pilot.
